By Joslyn Rose, in collaboration with Squint x Oaklandish

This vision was created to honor the brilliance born in the Bay. Bay Area Dream Maker represents the legacy of artists who carry the vision and illuminate the world with their light. Partnering with Oaklandish, and collaborating with my creative brother and visionary storyteller Squint, we created this as a symbol of what it means to shape culture through creativity, and to stand in the truth of who we are.

On the back, a tree, rooted in names that define generations. Legends and changemakers. Architects of sound, image, and movement. Each name etched into the branches is part of the DNA of the Bay.

To dream is to see beyond what exists, to build what hasn’t been built yet. That’s what this represents. A calling for the courage to create and continue to move with purpose.

To the dreamers, may this speak to the part of you that already knows you are a light.

This is for the music makers, the movie makers, the vision keepers and dreamers, illuminating the Bay, and the world, with their light.
